Naïade Resorts Training Academy
In the year under review, Naïade Resorts Group gives considerable importance to training. One of Naïade Resorts’ hallmarks is our attention to detail. We also believe that our quality of service is a key element in the success of our hotels. Both aspects require training and good leadership. Indian Ocean cultures are traditionally warm and friendly and our aim is to develop these innate attitudes, so that our guests feel really welcome and superbly looked after.

The Group has set up its own training centre, the Naïade Resorts Training Academy, based at its Mauritian Head Office in Floreal.
The Academy has a language centre equipped with 12 computers and a training room that can seat up to 40 employees.
The total number of training hours invested in the year under review was
21 233 as compaired with 17 507 in the previous year. Thirty-two training programmes have now been developed and are run by the academy on the basis of a Training Needs Analysis carried out annually.

The academy team is led by Victoria McIntosh, previously Corporate Director of Education and Organisational development for Kempinski Hotels & Resorts in Switzerland. There are 3 full-time training instructors and a full time language trainer.

Victoria came to Mauritius, not only because Naïade sets aside a sizeable budget each year for training purposes, she has since been impressed by the employees individual enthusiasm to learn and enhance their knowledge and skills.

Naïade Resorts encourages all their employees to develop their full potential and sees training as a way a person can progress as an individual and also give him or her the knowledge and skills to advance their careers within the Group.
Always moving forward, this year the Group will take over the running of its Spas and is setting up a training centre for its therapists with that in mind.

Bertrand Piat, the Group HR Manager, is proud of the fact that 100 internal promotions were made last year.
He sees the Academy as key to Naïade Resorts achieving its Vision 2010, the recognition of Naïade Resorts as a leading international Group.
