Dining al fresco style has never looked so good. Forget fussy
accoutrements and bring on a lighter hearted dining experience,
inspired by authentic local flavours. Share a romantic candle-lit
dinner on the beach under star-lit skies. And if the sun isn't
intoxicating enough, enjoy a cool sunset cocktail overlooking the
ocean.
Le Badamier (7 a.m to 10 a.m / 12 p.m to 3 p.m / 7 p.m
to 9.30 p.m)
Built around an old badamier tree, Le Badamier is surrounded by
the bright flowers and emerald hues of tropical gardens.
Unpretentious dishes inspired by Chinese, Creole and French
traditions, draw on the many cultural influences of Mauritius.
There's also a pizzeria tucked away in a corner, for when you all
you crave is a crispy crust and melted cheese.
Tables d'hôte menus and gourmet barbecues are also a popular
attraction, along with regular themed dinners to the crooning of
local musicians and entertainers. And if you somehow can't find
what you're looking for, then chances are it's on the tempting
buffet heaped with fresh salads, sticky sweets and more.
La Terasse (10 a.m 1 a.m)
Languorously perched on the edge of the beach facing the lagoon,
La Terasse offers beach service and a shady retreat, under a
traditional thatched roof. As trendy beats skip out across the
lagoon, quench your thirst with our very own island water packaged
in sustainable, recyclable bottles. Or for something with a little
more punch, try one of our exotic cocktails. They are a local
specialty that will send your taste buds into orbit.
Beach and Room Service
It's not a truly perfect island holiday unless you're being served
deliciously refreshing treats while lounging beside the pool, ocean
or in the comfort of your room. Make the most of your stay with our
beach and room service facilities.
Evening Entertainment
At Merville Beach, we don't do ordinary. All of our entertainment
is performed by genuine, enthusiastic and highly talented dancers,
musicians and artists of every kind. From the rhythmic beat of the
Mauritian Sega to the very best local music troupes and performers,
every evening is an opportunity to experience something new and
truly authentic.
Dress Code
Although there's no particular dress code during the day, we do
ask you not to wear uncovered swimming attire in the restaurant
during breakfast time. Evening wear is smart-casual after 6pm. And
gentlemen, no flip-flops or shorts in the restaurants and bars
during dinnertime please.
